Our adventure is improving!

I couldn't pass on the great news yesterday due to difficulty with wi-fi and I just don't have the patience to write a lengthy email w my phone!

Mom's cognitive abilities are WAY better!  She isn't in her own little obsessive world and she knows who we are and what is happening in the world...yahoo!

We are waiting for her heart rythms to get where they need to be and she should move to a telemetry floor (Heart stuff) to continue monitering things.  We are out of the woods on most of the electrolytes but are working on the heart stuff.

Her catheter has been removed and she is peeing well, eating well etc.  Good stuff!!!  (Of course, that means that she is tired from getting up at night...but moving is good too...)

Dad, Lori and I are trying to make good use of her nap time.  We went to a Hopi Arts and Craft Festival yesterday.  That was fun.  The day before we went to the Arboritum and had a nice walk amongst the flora (I even enjoyed that).  Lori continues to take great care of us.  She put a pot roast in a crockpot so that was great last night!  We sat outside of the Taylor house sneaking a "snort" and enjoying the lovely dinner!

The night before, we grabbed dinner at Safeway (grab and go) and drove up to Sunset Crater to watch the end of the sunset (we kind of got a late start).  We sat back, relaxed with a water bottle filled with vino and ate our salad/sandwiches!  It was really nice!

Lori and I are going to go someplace this afternoon...she gets to decide!  We will leave Dad to his own devices!  He might like some time on his own!  AND he has left over pot roast!

Thanks again for all the prayers and support you all provide.  We are surely blessed to have the family and friends we have!

Love and tons of hugs to you all!  Carrie, Dick and Carol
